Head to head · 2026 Fotara vs POV

Both are app-free for guests. The difference is the concept: POV is a digital disposable camera — photos “develop” later — and charges by guest count; Fotara shows the album live and charges by memories.

Questions

What people ask when comparing

Does POV need an app?

Not for guests: it also works via QR in the browser. The difference with Fotara isn’t the app — it’s the concept (develop-later vs live) and the pricing (by guests vs by memories).

What if more guests show up than I paid for on POV?

POV plans are chosen by guest count, so a growing event can force an upgrade. Fotara doesn’t count guests: the limit is memories, unlimited on Plus and Max.
